Calla Health Foundation CEO Marlee Krieger and Chief Technology Officer Brian Crouch were recently awarded the Small Business Innovation Research Grant (SBIR) - Phase I from the National Institutes for Health (NIH).

The grant will allow Calla Health to get closer to their goal of developing a fully functional Callascope that meets the requirements for triage of screen-positive populations (those that are HPV positive), thus reducing the number of clinical visits for the patient and allowing care-providers to focus time and energy on high-risk patients. The Callascope is ideal for use in mobile clinics due to its affordability, portability, ease of use, and quality of imaging. Click here to learn more about the development of the Callascope.

The NIH Small Business Innovation Research Grant seeks to stimulate technological innovation by supporting "emerging and undercapitalized small business concerns in technological innovation."

Congratulations to Marlee, Brian, and the rest of the Calla Health team!
