Leadership
GWHT leadership and faculty drive the integration of research, clinical programs, and deployment efforts. Their work ensures that technologies move beyond the laboratory and into healthcare systems, where they can improve access, detection, and treatment for patients.
In addition to advancing research, faculty play a central role in building partnerships, guiding clinical studies, and training the next generation of translational innovators.
Staff & Program Support
The work of GWHT is made possible by staff who support the coordination of research, clinical partnerships, and educational programs. Their efforts ensure that technologies move efficiently from development to real-world implementation, and that students and fellows are supported throughout the process.
By managing operations, partnerships, and program logistics, staff enable the center to function as an integrated innovation-to-impact system.
Translational Workforce
The Translational Workforce is the operational core of GWHT’s innovation-to-impact model. Fellows and trainees work across research, clinical programs, and global deployment efforts, ensuring that technologies are not only developed, but also implemented in real healthcare environments.
By working at the interface of engineering, clinical care, and implementation, they play a critical role in translating innovation into improved patient outcomes.
Students & Trainees
Students and trainees at GWHT engage directly in engineering design, research, and real-world problem solving. Through programs that span early exposure to advanced research, participants build the skills needed to move technologies from concept to implementation.
These experiences are integrated into GWHT’s broader innovation pipeline, allowing students to contribute meaningfully at each stage from design to deployment.
