Lillian Ekem Defends Dissertation

On Wednesday, May 27, Lillian Ekem successfully defended her dissertation "Development of Image Quality Tools Supporting Cervical Cancer Screening with Applications to Resource-Limited Settings."

Her work in AI algorithm development to screen cervical imaging will serve to improve detection of cervical cancer in conjunction with the Pocket Colposcope, Callascope, and the Calla Health App. If you'd like more info on Lillian's work and the work of the GWHT Cervical Cancer team, see our recent article, "Improving Detection: AI-Assisted Cervical Imaging."
