On Friday (July 11), Victoria D'Agostino successfully defended her dissertation, "A Multi-modal Optical Toolkit to Characterize Spatiotemporal Metabolic Heterogeneity of Breast Cancer and its Microenvironment". Her research, spanning her six-year career as a graduate student, will further the GWHT's research in breast cancer imaging, better understanding the nature of triple negative breast cancer (the most aggressive form) and working towards more effective and more accessible treatments.

In the fall semester of 2025, Victoria will be joining the Northeastern University Department of Bioengineering as an Assistant Teaching Professor.

Congratulations, Dr. D'Agostino!
